There are a variety of treatment options courtesy of the HIFU. HIFU non-invasive lifting principle

HIFU is focused ultrasound energy which is able to reach as deep as the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) layer of the skin, while still focusing on specific target locations. The SMAS layer of the skin is a sheet of the tissue that is made up of collagen, elastin fibers, and fat cells. This means that deep structural layers of the skin are targeted with heat (the same areas that plastic surgeons work on when they perform facelifts), without damaging the skin’s surface. 

Previously, accessing the SMAS layer was difficult with non-surgical treatments as this is the layer a surgeon would physically lift in a facelift. The HIFU focuses on points of coagulative necrosis in the SMAS layer of the skin through 65-degree heat zones. This enables the SMAS layer to be contracted without causing damage to the surrounding tissue or skin surface. The wound healing response is triggered, and the result is that skin naturally lifts and tightens over time – continually improving even up to 12 weeks post treatment.
